Grand Prairie Live! Featuring Tejano
Grand Prairie is celebrating the one year anniversary of becoming a Certified Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office, so it only makes sense that we celebrate with four days of live music! We’re so excited to present the first Grand Prairie Live music event where music lovers can experience live music in six different venues all across the city.
At Uptown Theater
Uptown Theater is hosting a FREE EVENT for all ages!
Saturday, November 19, 2022
Noon – 4:00 pm
In the Uptown Theater, there will be two showings of “Selena” the 1997 film starring Jennifer Lopez (at noon & 2:30pm)!
In the Uptown Gallery, artwork by local Latinx artist Joy Reyes will be featured as well as an Exhibition showcasing Ballet Folklórico Costumes.
In the Black Box at Uptown, there will be “make and take” crafts for the kids (limited quantity, while supplies last)!
For concessions, we will have Zavala’s Barbeque and Mama’s Medicine cocktails!!
